While using computers in a network the most important aspect would be security. The data that are present in a system is what an entire company is dependent on and at the same time is the thing that other people want. So it has to be protected and maintained confidentially. For this purpose we go in for security. In simple words security is nothing but not allowing other people to access data without prior permission or administrators wish. The administrator is the person who takes care and is responsible for the security.
Using password protection technique normally called as the authentication can provide the security. In this case the system administrator assigns the people working in an organization under specific access regions. So if a person is placed under visitor then he will not be able to access any data of the company.

* AUTHENTICATION - authentication is the process of providing security at each and every level of the data. This is achieved by providing passwords and locks.
* AUTHORISATION - this is another type of security where in the person working will be give a particular post by the administrator and depending on that he or she will be able to access data.
* DIGITAL SIGNATURE - the digital signature is the best way of security in case of atm transaction and also while exchanging data's. even signatures of people can be checked so that no body can cheat.
* Bar code - the barcode are unique codes that are very difficult to break and they can be used for security purpose in companies.
* Image processing - by using image processing we can verify the image of a person and identify if he is the right person and by means of this provide security.
Security is the most important aspect of any network or organization involved in a network. If no proper security is there then it leads to intruders and loss of data and eventually great loss for the organization.
